Dmytro Koziuk

Dmytro Koziuk (he/him) was born in 2006 in Kharkiv. In 2023, he graduated from the Kharkiv Academic Lyceum #45 with advanced study of technical subjects. In the same year, he entered the National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.

Dmytro has won many prizes in Kharkiv regional olympiads in mathematics and informatics, among them the first prize in informatics in 2022. In 2021, Dmytro won the third prize in the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Informatics. In 2022, he won the third prize in the All-Ukrainian competition in Informatics and the second prize in All-Ukrainian team Olympiad in Informatics, and participated in the All-Ukrainian part of the ICPC school stage.

In the ninth and tenth grade for the contest of the Junior Academy of Sciences Dmytro wrote research works on the topics Neural networks in the field of advertising and Development of an online mentoring system of research and development work under the guidance of his supervisor Prof. Kirill Rukkas from Kharkiv National University. For these works, he won third prizes on the regional level.

Even in his school years Dmytro was fond of machine learning, so he took part in the courses from AI Sweden: Hi AI! and Ukrainian Talents. He also participated in Forensics Challenge 2023, where he and his team had to develop a system that could help the police with video camera crimes. The project was fully realised and was able to recognise people, faces, weapons, shooting sounds and make a 3d model of the crime scene using data from cameras.

In 2023, Dmytro helped with the organisation of the summer school in mathematics and computer science LOL-2023. He helped with teaching, organising teaching materials and computer science tasks for students of grades 7-11.

After Russia's full-scale invasion in Ukraine, Dmytro remained in Kharkiv and was engaged in volunteer activities.

After graduating from lyceum Dmytro continues his education in one of the prestigious universities in Kharkiv, where he is studying mathematics and programming. Now as a student, the he participates in programming contests such as Grand Prix of Ukraine and ACM ICPC.
