Morteza Saghafian

Morteza Saghafian has PhD in computer science from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, and he is a postdoctoral researcher in Edelsbrunner Group at IST Austria. In 2005 he won a gold medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad and since then he has been a course instructor in Iran and other countries. He has been Iranian team leader in IMO in recent years, and involved in the Problem Selection Committee of various math high school competitions and Olympiads. He is the Chairman of Iranian Geometry Olympiad (IGO) as well as Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad (ICO) which are held in Iran and many other countries every year. He aims to show how creative thinking can make mathematics easier and more beautiful.
