Mariia Yushtina was born in Kyiv in 2009. She is attending the Ukrainian Physics and Mathematics Lyceum.

Mariia enjoys studying physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics the most.

While Mariia was in 6th and 7th grade, she won the first prize at regional mathematics olympiads (twice), the regional physics olympiad and the regional chemistry olympiad, the second prize at the regional biology olympiad, the third prize in the regional geography olympiad (all for 8th grade) and the mathematics olympiad of the city of Kyiv (for 7th grade).

National level of the all-Ukrainian science olympiads:

• Ukrainian Physics Olympiad 2024 — 2nd prize
• Ukrainian Physics Olympiad 2025 — 2nd prize

In 2025, Mariia won the 3rd prize at the International Junior Science Olympiad (Bucharest).
