Iryna Romaniuk

Iryna (Ira) Romaniuk is sixteen years old and just finished 10th grade of Kyiv-Pechersk Lyceum 171 “Leader”. The war has forced Ira to leave her home city of Kyiv. She lives in the Kamyanets-Podilskyi now, a city in Western Ukraine where her father grew up.

Ira received bronze medals in 2021 and in 2022 at the International Zhautykov Olympiad. In 2020, she won a gold medal at the Final Mathematical Cup.

Fun fact: Ira graduated from art school. As a child, she acted in a movie and wrote lyrics. In her art classes, Ira painted with her left while solving problems with her right.
