Kyrylo Osipov
Kyrylo Osipov was born in Kharkiv in 2008. He is a high school student at the Boiko Super Math, the Mathematical department of the Boiko author's school.
From a young age, Kyrylo developed a passion for mathematics, which has only grown over the years. Since first grade, Kyrylo has been attending classes at the Fizmatik Education Centre, where he began his journey into the world of mathematics. In the fifth grade, Kyrylo transitioned to a mathematically oriented lyceum, where he continued to delve into the world of Olympiad mathematics.
Kyrylo has won many prizes in Kharkiv regional Olympiads in Mathematics, Informatics and Physics. He took third prize at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Mathematics 2023. In the 10th grade, together with his team, he took second place in the Tournament of Youth Mathematicians and participated in the International Dürer competition, where his team won 7th place out of 82 teams. He has also participated in APMO.
Kyrylo is a member of the Yulia’s dream program, part of MIT PRIMES, which is a math enrichment and research program for exceptional high school students. There, he worked on the project “Ulam sequences and their periodicity".
Since the escalation of Russia's war against Ukraine, Kyrylo has remained actively involved in the mathematical community of Kharkiv. He participates in many mathematical camps to continue his studies. Additionally, he has taken the initiative to help organize online Olympiads for younger students.
In his free time, Kyrylo enjoys spending time with friends, playing chess and watching TV series. He is also passionate about sports, particularly badminton, which he has played since childhood. His dedication to the sport has led him to win many prizes in regional and national competitions.
